Our core vision

Queer Safe Spaces is dedicated to creating a physical sanctuary known as the Safe Space Center—envisioned as the flagship institution serving the diverse needs of the LGBTQIA+ community in the Philippines. Inspired by successful models like the Los Angeles LGBT Center and Trans Wellness Center, our initiative seeks to establish an inclusive, supportive, and resource-rich environment for Filipino individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations.

This 2024, we are officially launching Phase 1 (2024-2026) of the Safe Space Center. To inaugurate this initiative, we are organizing a Queer Prom in partnership with TikTok Philippines during Pride Month as our major fundraising event. Additionally, we are introducing the QueerFunding initiative to welcome donations from individuals who resonate with our vision.

With your support and our vision, we'll continue creating safer spaces so that Filipino queer people will be free to live with love, acceptance, and pride.

Through the Community Engagement Exchange Program 2024 sponsored by the U.S Department of State and implemented by IREX, Queer Safe Spaces has partnered with the Los Angeles LGBT Center to gain hands-on experience of their best practices as the largest LGBT organization in the world. This partnership is driven by our objective to create a physical sanctuary known as the Safe Space Center, envisioned as a flagship institution to serve the diverse needs of the Filipino LGBTQIA+ community.
